ARTICLE 1 — PURPOSE

These General Terms and Conditions of Sale (GTC) detail the rights and obligations of the company JAPAN SNACK and its customer, in connection with the distance selling of food products (snacks, confectionery, Japanese drinks) via the website https://japansnack.fr

Any order placed on the website implies the Client's full and unreserved acceptance of these GTC.

ARTICLE 3 — PRODUCTS AND ALLERGENS

3.1 Characteristics

The products offered are food items imported from Japan. Essential characteristics (weight, taste, ingredients) are presented on each product sheet.

3.2 Photographs

Japanese packaging changes very regularly (seasonal editions). The photographs on the site are illustrative and non-contractual.

3.3 Allergens

WARNING: Products may contain allergens (soy, milk, wheat, egg, peanuts, etc.). Although we do our best to translate labels, Customers with severe allergies are advised to contact us before placing any order or to refrain if in doubt.

ARTICLE 4 — PRICE AND PAYMENT

  • Price: Prices are indicated in Euros (€) inclusive of all taxes. They do not include shipping costs, which are indicated before final validation.
  • Payment: Payment is due immediately. Accepted payment methods are listed in the footer.
  • Customs: Products are shipped from France, so there are no additional fees to pay upon delivery.

ARTICLE 5 — DELIVERY

  • Lead times: Products are shipped within 3 working days. The maximum delivery time is 30 days (except for specific pre-orders).
  • Risks: The risk of loss or damage is transferred to the Client when they physically take possession of the package. We recommend checking the package condition in the presence of the delivery person.

ARTICLE 6 — RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL

6.1 Deadline and exercise

In accordance with the law, you have 14 days to change your mind. You can exercise this right via the contact form.

6.2 Important Exceptions (Food)

Pursuant to Article L221-28 of the Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal cannot be exercised for:

  1. Products that have been unsealed/opened by the Client after delivery (for reasons of hygiene and health protection).
  2. Products likely to deteriorate or expire rapidly (e.g., fresh mochis with a short shelf life).

6.3 Return costs

The costs of returning products are the sole responsibility of the Client. Products must be returned in their original, sealed, and undamaged packaging.

 

ARTICLE 7 — LEGAL GUARANTEES

The Seller is liable for defects of conformity (Art. L217-4 of the Consumer Code) and hidden defects (Art. 1641 of the Civil Code).

  • If a product is non-compliant (e.g., wrong product), the Client has 2 years to request an exchange or refund.
  • Note: The Minimum Durability Date (MDD) is not a strict expiration date. A product whose MDD has passed cannot be considered non-compliant if it remains fit for consumption.

ARTICLE 8 — LIABILITY AND STORAGE

The Seller cannot be held responsible for damages resulting from improper storage of products by the Client (e.g., chocolate that has melted due to exposure to sun or humidity after receipt).
